What is a Servant Singer?
Servant Singers is the name of our Children’s Choir. We are all God’s servants and are taught to worship Him and use our talents to praise Him. This is what the children do. Use their talents to tell of their love for God and to show their desire to please Him and praise His name.
When do the Servant Singers meet and what will they be doing?
Servant Singers are currently meeting on Sunday afternoon from 5:00 6:30 p.m. Cherub Chior members are meeting on Sunday afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30
Why should I enroll my child in this program?
One good reason would be to free yourself up to enroll in one of our Small Group, Home Bible Study Classes or to allow yourself time to re-energize for the coming week. For the child, there are many advantages. Children will be learning about the Lord and learning how to use their gifts from Him, to worship Him. Music itself has many advantages. It has been proven that children involved in music programs become more self assured and confident. We also work on speech and posture.
Will the children be performing and if so how often?
Definitely! Once choir is up and running for the season, you will be given a schedule; however, they usually sing once a month on Sunday mornings or during Family Worship on Wednesday evening.. They also do two programs a year: A Christmas musical and a spring show or musical.
Do the children do things other than sing at the church?
Yes they do. We try to do at least one service project each season, some of the things we have done are to participate in the Shoebox ministry for underprivileged children, decorate the home of one of the church’s “senior citizens” for Christmas. Make and deliver crafts to nursing homes and senior centers and perform for them. Send boxes to our soldiers overseas, collect canned food for the Food Bank, and collect stuffed animals for the Highway Patrol’s “Kids in Crisis” program. We have taken a trip to Busch Gardens and we like to party with bowling, pizza and swimming being among our favorites.
